About Us

About The School

Bridges Academy School and Kindergarten began in the 2015/2016 academic year under the Ministry of Education. A year later, a new kindergarten building was added. The school rapidly advanced academically, gaining British international accreditation to offer the IGCSE system across elementary, intermediate, and secondary levels. It is now working towards accreditation for the American High School Diploma program.

Location: Building and Total Area

Located on Petra Street, around 5 km west of the University of Science and Technology and King Abdullah Hospital, the school occupies 4,000 square meters. The campus includes separate sections for kindergarten, the international programโ€”each with its own courtyards. Plans for expansion in a second phase include a theater, indoor playgrounds, and larger academic facilities to accommodate growing educational and student needs.

Equipment

The school facilities are equipped with the latest school furniture from leading specialized companies. All classrooms are also equipped with modern electronic infrastructure, including an advanced interactive whiteboard, a laptop, and a projector. The school has also established various laboratories, such as a science lab, a computer lab, libraries, and a learning resources room for all levels.

Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about Bridges International Schools

Most students in the middle and upper grades have been attending Bridges International Schools since an early age, starting from the primary level. There is no preference given to students from specific schools at any academic level. Newly enrolled students come from both the public and private sectors.

A member of the administrative staff will meet with the parents and students. This visit gives you the opportunity to meet a school representative and, in most cases, to see the school's progress. Every visit includes a tour of the school campus, and we believe the visit should be enjoyable and informative for both parties.

There is a difference between a stimulating learning environment where "learning and thinking" are prioritized, and a school that focuses solely on test scores. Our students work hard because the curriculum is rigorous and challenging. With many outstanding and motivated students, there is a competitive atmosphere in the classrooms. What helps keep this environment stress-free is the warm and friendly school climate, the support students offer each other, and the support from the teaching staff. The average amount of homework for middle school students is about 1 to 2 hours per night, while for primary students it's about half an hour to an hour, depending on the grade level. When assigning homework, teachers choose tasks that will provide the student with the most additional value.

The average class size is between 12 and 20 students, with a maximum of 20. The school maintains a consistent student-to-teacher ratio of one teacher for every seven students.

Our teaching staff are qualified, dedicated, and passionate about their work. Many of our trainers and activity coordinators are present to support students. The ages and years of experience of our teachers vary, bringing a diverse range of expertise to the school.
